The Westway is a hugely valuable community asset, run by the community for the community. The Westway has a small core staff, five Trustees, and a great team of volunteers. We are now working on developing the sustainability of the Westway, needing to secure funding so the Centre can thrive and respond to the needs of the Community.
Be part of the Westway community, use its services, join in activities, or come and join as a volunteer, or as a Trustee (we value a range of experience and are particularly interested in adding further fundraising and or grant application experience to our team at this time).
Caroline Liggins

Chair of Trustees
Caroline is a local resident with a young family. In her day to day work she is a Partner in the Criminal Defence Department and Head of the Youth Team at the firm she works for.
Caroline became involved at the Westway, whilst on her first
maternity leave and during lockdown, working on grant applications to secure much needed funding. Caroline joined the Trustees in
August 2020 and took over as Chair of Trustees in April 2024.
Caroline is keen to drive the Westway forward and broaden its reach in support of the local community.

As a Trustee Vicky can bring a key understanding of people and business as well as our local community. Added with a passion to help and make a positive difference. As a Trustee of The Westway, Andrew wants to add value to the center, as an IT professional his technical skills can help the Centre harness the value of technology.
He also believes that strong governance is an important part of charity administration
He would like The Westway to continue to serve the local population expanding services to meet the needs of the
community.
Sue Woodville

Trustee
Sue has lived in Caterham for over 10 years and for the last three has had her 97yr old father living with her – that is how she got to know the Westway – her father being a regular user. It is through accompanying him to various activities at the center and meeting the staff and volunteers, that Sue very quickly realised what a very special place and critical part of the community the Westway was.
Sue has held senior leadership roles for FTSE100 companies. Sue is truly passionate about the Westway and hopes, as a Trustee, she can utilise some of her skills to help the Westway grow from strength to strength.
